When should you have an mold inspector test for mold in
your home?
Mold testing should be done if you are
purchasing a new home, and are concerned about potential mold issues.
(especially if the home was vacant, bank owned, prior foreclosure or in an area
that had flooding)
Mold testing from ISCT should be done
before and after any mold removal (to make sure mold remediation is necessary
and that it was sucessful).
Mold testing should be done
whenever you find a leak that has been present for more than 24
hours.
Mold testing should be done only by a mold inspection
company that does not do ANY mold remediation. (we consider this a
conflict of interest)
Mold testing should be done if residents of your home experience a long-term medical condition without a known cause.
Mold testing should be done if you suspect mold but do not see any visible mold growth
